身体结实的﹐扁长形的, 而不是非常深的;(深度包含了 2.7 到 3.3 倍标准的长度) 嘴小的与末端的, 后端位于了那高度与眼的前面边缘相同; 第一个鳃弓有 17个到 20 鳃耙; 背鳍凹槽, 藉由 12个棘广告 14 到 15个软鳍条;(12,14-15) 第二臀鳍棘短于第三; 身体银色的青铜色的; 鳞片深色的边缘, 形成纵向的线沿着每个数列鳞片; 前端侧线有一个不明显的斑点.
